The caring and experienced professionals at Floyd Family Funeral Home are here to support you through this difficult time.  The foundation for which our facility was established, was built in Laurens, SC in 1945. Our funeral home was recently reopened under new owner James Floyd Jr., a previous Presbyterian College star student athlete, then nicknamed "Poochie". 

 James  has over 20 years of experience as a licensed funeral home director, and began his funeral services career working alongside his mother at her funeral home in Clinton, SC in which his grandfather opened in 1942. While attending Presbyterian College in the 1980's, James spent numerous hours helping his grandparents and learning the business. After receiving his funeral director's license, he continued to help his mother, who currently owns the funeral home in Clinton. 

With his mother's blessing and encouragement, James and his wife Belinda decided to purchase  the old Goins Funeral Home building to begin their family's legacy. Along with their children and grandchildren, they decided to name the business Floyd Family Funeral Home. As a family, Floyd Family Funeral Home is passionate about becoming an integral part of the Laurens county community, and our goal is to make sure you feel apart of our Floyd family from the moment you walk through the doors.
