Willie McWilliams Obituary
Mr. Willie “Joe” McWilliams, age 74, of Laurens, SC was born on September 26, 1947 and passed away Sunday, October 3, 2021 at Laurens County Hospital. Joe was the son of the late Anor and Mamie McWilliams. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Jean McWilliams and Anna Fuller, and one brother, Richard McWilliams.
Those who love and will miss him are his wife, Josephine McWilliams, of the home; his children Anthony McWilliams (Kitty) of Rex, GA, Willie J McWilliams Jr (Celine) of France, and Josette McWilliams (Artese) of Garfield, NJ; seven grandchildren, Anthony, Anton, Ashley, Samuel, Salomae, Savana, and Janiya; seven great-grandchildren, Alayna, Kayden, Rylee, Rory, Aubree, Prince, and Messiah; sisters in law, Odessa Pyles of Laurens, SC and Diane McWilliams of Tucker, GA.
Joe attended the Laurens School District public schools, and was the owner of Banner Upholstery for over 48 years while residing in East Rutherford, NJ.
The family will take visitors at the McWilliams residence located at: 911 West Hampton Street, Laurens, SC. Floyd Family Funeral Home of Laurens SC will be responsible for the arrangements. Visitation hours will be Friday, October 8 from 11am-7pm at Floyd Family Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Saturday, October 9 at 1pm at Floyd Family Funeral Home.
***COVID protocols will be followed. Masks and social distancing will be required. Live streaming capability will be available for those individuals who are not able to attend the service. ***
