Romicus Wideman-Jones Obituary
Mr. Romicus Chicoco Wideman-Jones, affectionately known as Coco, age 34, gained entry into heaven’s gates on Wednesday, February 5th, 2025, at Newberry County Memorial Hospital. Born on March 14th, 1990, in Greenwood, SC, Coco was a cherished father, brother, and true friend who touched countless lives with his kind spirit and great humor.
Coco was a proud graduate of Mauldin High School. His ability to always be there to help others, his straightforwardness, and remarkable sense of humor, along with his extraordinary ability to bring laughter, even in difficult moments, came naturally to him. A man of immense strength and character, Romicus lived life on his own terms and was a content creator with a great vision for the future.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Lonnie Lee Jones; his two great-grandfathers, Mr. Willie Wideman and Mr. Albert Anderson; and his great-grandmother, Ms. Carrie Anderson.
Romicus’s memory will be forever cherished by his loving mother, Kiesha Lagaya Jones of Greenville, SC; his father, Richard H. Wideman (Tenashia) of Charlotte, NC; his two sons, Adyn Sullivan and Liam Wideman-Jones, who will truly miss their father; his sisters, Kedacia Lewis of Greenville, Andrea Wideman of Greenwood, SC, SaKeya Leftwich and Camil Leftwich, both of Charlotte, NC, Etta Wideman of Charlotte, NC, and Haven Wideman of Greenville, SC; his brothers, Rayshun Wideman-Jones of San Diego, California, Richard Wideman Jr., and Jalen Wideman, both of Greenwood, SC, along with Elijah Murray of Greenville, SC; his grandmothers, Clara Anderson of Greenville, SC, and Peggy Ross and Ruth D. Wideman, both of Greenwood, SC; his grandfather, Thomas Corington of Greenville, SC; two uncles, Christopher and Barry Jones of Greenville; and four aunts, Rita Jones, Lonetta Jones, Rucilla Ross, and Christy Ross, all of Greenville, SC.
Services for Mr. Romicus Chicoco Wideman-Jones will be held on Saturday, February 15th, at 1 p.m. in the Floyd Family Funeral Home Chapel.
The visitation will take place at Floyd Family Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, February 14th, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The Floyd Family Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
