Ms. Patricia Franklin, born on December 25, 1958, peacefully received her wings on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at her home in Simpsonville, South Carolina.
A devoted mother, loving sister, and cherished friend, Patricia was preceded in death by her father Charlton Jackson Jr and mother Nellie Virginia Jackson and her beloved brother, Terry Jackson. Her legacy continues through her daughter, Taffica Latrese Franklin of the home, and her three sons, Dumarcus Antonio Franklin of Laurens, SC, Dajion Lamas Franklin (Crystal) of Simpsonville SC, and Derrick Lind Franklin of the home. She was a proud grandmother to four beautiful grandchildren: Jayden D. Franklin, Trinity C. Franklin, Kendyl T. Franklin, and N'Kayvienne "KK" Franklin.
Patricia also leaves behind her siblings, Charlton E. Jackson (Erica) of Laurens, SC, Cheryl Jackson Ware (Kenneth) of Greenwood, SC, Gregory Jackson (Marcia) of Mauldin, SC, and Shudawn Jackson (Stacie) of Washington, DC. Her oldest living relatives, Aunt Sarah F. Workman of Mauldin, SC, and Uncle Willie James Jackson of Laurens, SC, will deeply miss her presence. Additionally, her Uncle Willie E. Nesbitt of Parrish, FL, and Aunts O'Vivian Nesbitt and Deborah Nesbitt of Laurens, SC, mourn her passing, along with a host of cousins, friends, and extended family.
Patricia's kindness, strength, and love for her family will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege to know her. She will be dearly missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
Ms. Franklin as a 1977 graduate of Laurens District 55 High School and also worked for the Laurens District 55 transportation Department.
The will be receiving visitors at the home of her aunt O'vivian Nesbitt at 206 Willis St, Laurens, SC.
Visitation will be held at the Floyd Family Funeral Home starting at 12 pm to 4 30pm on Friday, August 16th.
Funeral Services for Ms Franklin was held on Saturday, August 17th, at 1 pm at the Floyd Family Funeral Home, 202 Caroline St, Laurens SC, 29360.
