Johnny Hill

Mr. Johnny "Coot" Hill Jr, born May 5th, 1942, entered the gates of Heaven on August 9th, 2025, where he received his Golden Crown. Johnny passed away at the Laurens National Health Care, located in Laurens SC.

Mr. Hill spent his entire life being known as one of the hardest working men one could ever meet. He spent over 20 years working in the farming industry. Coot spent the latter part of his life transitioning into the logging industry working with Walker and Walker logging company. He was a dedicated employee that help to train some of the employees for over 40 years. He worked tirelessly to provide for his family sometimes doing the things that may not have been glamorous but the things that needed to be done without ever complaining and rarely missed a day of work.

He leaves behind his son Johnnie "Cooter" "lil Johnnie" Sanders who helped to take care of his father in his later years and was there with Coot till the very end. Also, those left to cherish his memory the siblings Debra Hill, Lisa Alvarez, Tammy Mack, Patricia Pressley Angela Jenkins and Lee Sanders. He leaves behind one sister Ms. Viola Filder.

He was preceded in death by his lifelong partner Ms. Mozzla Sanders.

Service for Mr. Johnny "Coot" Hill Jr will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, August 23rd at the Floyd Family Funeral Home, located in Laurens SC.
