Mr. Edward "Scott" Foggie, age 54, of Laurens, SC, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Self Regional Hospital in Greenwood, SC.
Born in Laurens, Scott was the son of Jessie Foggie and the late Monroe Young. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Elizabeth Burnside, and his sister-in law Teresa Kennedy.
Scott leaves behind to cherish his memory, in addition to his mother, his wife Alice Kennedy Foggie of the home; sons, Terezz Foggie and Travoris Kennedy, both of Laurens; daughter, Alicia Kennedy of Laurens; his sister, Tonya Young of Columbia, SC; his mother-in-law, Annie Bell Kennedy of Gray Court, SC; brothers-in-law, Henry Kennedy (Sabrina) of Greenville and Eddie Fuller of Laurens; his uncles Willie Young of Laurens, SC and David Burnside (Sue) of Milpitas, CA; his aunts Ada Beeks of Laurens, SC and Rosemary Mackie of North Augusta, SC; ten grandchildren, Jada Kennedy, Ty’Kevius Kennedy, and Kiajiah Kennedy of the home, Qua’Trezz Foggie, Arevia Kennedy, Earlana Burnside, Akerion Mosley, and Kealanni Kennedy of Laurens, Azriel and Aiyonna Simmons of Clinton; a host of nieces and nephews; close friends; Calvin Powers, Willie Yeargin, Vince Franklin, Sabrina Coleman, and Jennifer Hill.
Scott attended Laurens County District public schools, and graduated from Laurens District 55 High School. He worked in the manufacturing and logistics industries for many years, and was a beloved co-worker to all that worked with him over the years.
The family will take visitors at 1273 Bull Hill Road, Gray Court, SC. Floyd Family Funeral Home of Laurens, SC, will be responsible for the arrangements. Visitation will be held at Floyd Family Funeral Home on Friday, July 23, 2021, 11am-6pm. The funeral service is Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Floyd Family Funeral Home at 2pm, followed by interment at Jersey Cemetery in Laurens, SC.
