Bobby Hill Obituary
Mr. Bobby Edward Hill was born to the union of the late Robert Gene Hill and Lillie Ree Kinard. He
transitioned from this life on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 surrounded by his family.
Bobby was born in Laurens, South Carolina and moved to New Jersey at the age of eleven. After graduating from Bloomfield High School, he joined the US Army where he was responsible for programming titan missiles. Bobby met his wife Trena in Louisiana and they shared a loving life together for thirty-two years.
Bobby was a logistics specialist before retiring from his military career and he continued this career path throughout his civilian career. He worked as a logistics supervisor with several companies and retired from Volvo Cars, USA in 2020. In 2022, he and his wife relocated back to South Carolina.
Bobby was a longtime member and Trustee of Green Pastures Missionary Baptist Church in East Orange, NJ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Robert Hill.
Bobby leaves to cherish his memories; his wife Trena Hill of Galivants Ferry, SC; his children, Koa Natasha Watson of Conway, SC, Marcellia Ree Hill of Oklahoma City, OK and Stephen Terrel Hill of NY; his grandchildren, Malakhi Henry Alexander, Malique Houston Alexander, Kelani Madison McGill-Watson and Ke'ala O'Shea McGill Watson; sisters, Linda Taylor of Spartanburg, SC, Vickie Holloway of Bloomfield, NJ, and a sister-in-law Michalela Jackson (Charles) of Powder Springs, GA; and a host of family and friends.
The funeral service will be held at Springfield Baptist Church in Laurens SC on Friday July 5th. There is a quiet hours that will begin at 1 pm and the funeral service will begin at 2pm. Doctor Bryant Cheek, pastor of Springfield Baptist Church will be the officiating minister.
Interment will follow immediately at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery located in Cross Hill, SC.
Floyd Family Funeral Home will be responsible for all arrangements and services.
