Betty L. Choice was born on May 5, 1940, in Greenville, South Carolina to Jerry James, Sr. and Wesley (Looper) Brown. She was preceded in death by both parents and siblings Elizabeth, Martha, Lydia, James Jr., and Richard Brown.
She attended Sterling Silver High School and graduated in the year of 1956.
Betty was united in holy matrimony on November 3, 1977, to Houston “June” Choice, Jr. To this union was born Terry, Felix, and Alex. Betty was a devoted and wonderful mother of three, and she was an outstanding domestic engineer. Betty enjoyed amusement parks, traveling with family, making mouth-watering dishes, and engaging in church fellowship.
Betty departed this life on Thursday morning March 9, 2023, in Shiloh, Illinois. She leaves to cherish her memories three children Terry Choice of Shiloh, IL, Felix Choice of Jackson, FL, and Alex Choice of New Zealand: three Granddaughters Mercedes Choice, Kisha Choice, and Trinity Choice; three Great Grandchildren Bryson, Kasey, and Logan. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other dear relatives and cherished friends.
Floyd Family Funeral Home will be responsible for all arrangements. Visitation service will be Friday, March 17, 2023 from 10:00am – 11:00 am at Center Rabun Missionary Baptist Church located at 14116 SC-101, Gray Court, SC 29645. The funeral service will follow at 11am. Interment will be immediately following at the Center Rabun Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor James Anderson of New Liberty Baptist Church is the officiating minister.
