Mrs. Minnie Fuller Watts of Greenwood, SC, born December 23, 1921, passed away on Wednesday,
May 17, 2023, at her residence.
Mrs. Watts was the daughter of the late Earl and Wesley Lee Fuller. In addition to her parents, preceding her in death was her beloved husband, Willie J. Watts; her daughter Annie L. Watts; six brothers, Fred Fuller, J.C. Fuller, Joe Fuller, David Fuller, Bennie Fuller, and Lindsey Bailey; eleven sisters, Annie Mae Whitmire, Gracie L. Pyles, Viola F. Bluford, Rosa B. McDonald, Sarah Winford, Jessie Pearl Hunter, Frances Evans, Odessa Fuller, Willie B. Simpson, Bernice Robertson, and Bertha Shands.
Mrs. Watts, affectionately known as “Granny” by her loved ones, attended the Laurens County Public School System. She was very passionate about caring for and nurturing her family, and members throughout the local community. Mrs. Watts was a long-time, faithful member of New Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and gardening.
Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Carolyn V. Watson and Shirley W. (Curtis) Lewis both of Greenwood, SC; two grandsons, Adrian B. Watson of Dallas, TX and Christopher E. Watson of Union, NJ; one great-granddaughter, Lyla G. Baker of Dallas, TX; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Floyd Family Funeral Home will be responsible for all arrangements. The family will take visitors at the residence located at: 320 Heritage West Court, Greenwood, SC 29649. Visiting hours will be on Thursday, May 25, 2023, 11am – 4pm at Floyd Family Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 26, 2023, at 1pm. Internment will follow immediately after service at Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Waterloo, SC.
