Ms. Mavis Anderson Wimphrie 66 of 403 Clemson St, Laurens SC, received her heavenly wings on Friday, November 29 at the Prisma Health Hospital Laurens SC.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son James Anderson of Chesapeake Virginia, 6 sisters, Lydia McElrath, Claire Ann Anderson, Bernice (Fred) Anderson, Brenda (Matthew) Gray, Madeline Pitts and Clara Anderson, 1 brother Anthony Anderson and a special friend Thomas McDowell. She leaves behind 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild along with a host of nieces and nephews and friends

She was preceded in death by her father Albert Anderson, her mother Carrie Anderson, her son Stanley Wimphrie Jr, her sisters Johnnie May Boyd, Sherry Anderson, Aurelia (Lonnie) Owens, Judy Anderson and her brother Albert (Patricia) Anderson.

A devoted member of St. Paul Baptist Church, Mavis faith was a cornerstone of her life. She found joy in the simple pleasures of shopping and cooking. Mavis could always be seen smiling and making jokes with her family and friends, her memories will truly be cherished.

A visitation for Ms. Mavis Anderson Wimphrie will be held at the Floyd Family Funeral Home located in Laurens SC, on Wednesday December 4th from 12 until 4 pm.

Funeral Services for Ms Mavis Anderson Wimphrie will be held at the St. Paul Baptist Church at 2 pm on Thursday December 5th, 2024.

Reverend Larry Chapman will be delivering the eulogy for the family.

The family will be receiving visitors at 410 Blue Sage Place, Simpsonville SC

Mavis warmth, kindness, and dedication to her family and community will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, inspiring those she touched to live life with compassion and grace.
