Mr. Johnny Leamon, lovingly known as “Punkin,” earned his heavenly wings on Wednesday, December 25, at NHC Laurens. Born on August 28, 1968, Johnny was a cherished father, grandfather, brother, and friend who touched countless lives with his kind spirit and humor.

Johnny was a proud graduate of Laurens District 55 High School. Known for his straightforwardness and remarkable sense of humor, he had an extraordinary ability to bring laughter, even in difficult moments. A man of immense strength and character, Johnny lived life on his own terms, finding joy in working on cars and grilling.

He was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Leamon Jr.; his grandfather, Jeremiah Leamon; and his grandmothers, Ms. Annie Bell Leamon and Rebecca Montgomery.

Johnny’s memory will be forever cherished by his loving mother, Gloria Leamon of Laurens SC.; his two sons, Javarius Leamon (Greer SC) and Chris Leamon (Mars Hill NC); his two daughters, Brienna Leamon (of Robuck SC) and Jasmine Leamon (of Greer SC); his two grandsons TJ Leamon and DJ Dogan, along with his brother, Kendell Leamon of Laurens SC

Services for Mr. Johnny Leamon will be held on Friday, January 3, at 2 p.m. at Beaverdam Baptist Church in Enoree, SC. The committal will follow immediately in the Beaverdam Church Cemetery. Reverend O.T. Hill, pastor of Beaverdam Baptist Church, will deliver the eulogy.

The visitation will take place at Floyd Family Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, January 2, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The family will receive visitors at their home, located at 372 Winetta St., Laurens, SC, beginning Friday, December 27.

The Floyd Family Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
