Mr. John Robert Penn, born on January 12, 1936, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was the beloved son of the late John Penn and Sally Holloway Penn. He passed away peacefully on December 28, 2024.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Annie Grant Penn, as well as two cherished grandchildren, Da’Rnisha Penn and De’Angelo Penn, both of Jacksonville, Florida.
John joined the military at an early age, proudly serving his country with dedication and honor.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories in the hearts of his family, including his daughters: Betty Penn, Mary Williams (Bernard), and Angela Smith; his stepson, Robert Brant (Merleen), all of Laurens, South Carolina; and one sister-in-law Willie Bell Williams, also of Laurens, South Carolina. He was a proud grandfather to 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Penn was deeply loved by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends who will forever remember his kindness, wisdom, and steadfast presence.
His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
