Mr. Edward Sanders of Laurens, SC , born January 29, 1938, passed away on July 19, 2023 at Langston Place Assisted Living in Clinton, SC.

Mr. Sanders was the son of the late Eddie and Rosie Lee Sanders. In addition to his parents, preceding him in death was his lovely wife, Sue Pearl Sanders; four siblings, Lizzie McDonald, Johnny Sanders, Anna Sanders Jones, and Richard Sanders.

Mr. Sanders was educated in the Laurens County Public Schools. Prior to retirement, Mr. Sanders worked in the utility services industry and was employed by the Commission of Public Works for over 20 years. Mr. Sanders was a long-time member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his brother, Thomas (Alma) Sanders of Laurens, SC; two sisters-in-law, Jean Sanders of Greenwood and Eula Mae (Paul) Holland of Washington, DC; two stepsons, Wister (Barbara) Jones and Calvin Jones of Laurens, SC; his spiritual son and daughter Charles and Betty McClintock of Laurens, SC; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; and a host of other family and friends

The family will take visitors at: 304 East Hampton, Laurens SC. Floyd Family Funeral Home is responsible for all arrangements.

Visitation will be Monday, July 24, at Floyd Family Funeral Home in Laurens from 11am - 4pm. The funeral service will be held at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 663 Whelon Road, Laurens SC on Tuesday, July 25, beginning at 2pm. The committal will be held at Calvary Memorial Gardens immediately following the service.
