Mr. Edward D. Garrett was born on October 7th, 1944, with sunset on July 7th, 2025, He passed away at the Inman Healthcare facility located in Inman SC.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy M, Garrett after 61 years of marriage. Thier union resulted in the birth of six children James E. Garrett, Jerry A. Garrett, Henry L. Garrett, Loretta Garrett, Wessie M. Garrett and Emma J. Garrett. He also leaves behind 10 Grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, along with one surviving brother Charles Garrett

Edward was the son of the late Deroy Garrett and Lorrene Fergson Garrett. Additionally, proceeding him in death where 3 brothers Willie Garrett, Jerry Garrett and James Garrett, along with a sister Nannie.

Edward retired after over 35 years as a master concrete finisher working with some of the largest companies in South Carolina both Flour Dainel and Harper Construction. He was a long-standing member of the Union Lodge #1 Masonic Lodge. Edward was a member of the Beaverdam Baptist Church for over 30 years and was also a long-standing member of the Trustee Board.

Mr. Edward D. Garrett has received his heavenly crown, and he will be truly missed but will never be forgotten.

His memorial service will be held on Saturday August 9th at the Beaverdam Baptist Church located in Enoree SC
